Our spacious three bedroom beachfront retreats offer up to 1,627 square feet of fully furnished living space, perfect for a long vacation on Anna Maria Island. Each suite offers two to three bathrooms, washer and dryer and spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico from your private deck or balcony.

Our vacation rental interiors are professionally and artistically decorated with the perfect combination of warmth and luxury. Each suite features marble in the kitchen and bathrooms, polished pine flooring throughout, luxurious fabrics and a separate dining area. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen with custom wood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances makes for effortless entertaining.

This three bedroom residence can accommodate 6 guests comfortably with a maximum total of 8 guests. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and two twin beds in the third bedroom.

Featuring historically inspired architecture and craftsmanship, professionally designed interiors, authentic pine flooring, designer fabrics and comfortable furniture. Mainsail Beach Inn units offer direct beach access, heated resort-style swimming pool, hot tub, poolside grill, private beach lounge chairs & umbrellas and bicycle rentals.

We have been here 3 consecutive years and we love the place, the location, and the customer service! The condo was always amazing, but we noticed the refreshed paint and new furniture this year which was a happy surprise! Our stay was amazing as always!
Perfect Beach Vacation!

Main Sail Beach Inn was everything it promised to be. The condo unit was perfect - clean, comfortable, amenities ( beach chairs, umbrella etc) all there for your use. You couldn't ask for a better location - the views of the gulf were fabulous! Matthew, property manager, was excellent. He made himself available whenever you had a question.
Amazing Mom Retreat

We had the best time at Mainsail Beach Inn. The location on the island is perfect and being able to walk right on the beach was fantastic. The unit was so clean, the beds really comfortable, unit 7 was beautifully and having the chairs, beach umbrellas and paddle boards to use made it so easy to relax on the beach. We will be back for sure!

We stayed in Unit 7 which was on the 3rd floor. Our girls trip was divine. The unit was clean, well decorated and comfortable. The view was breathtaking of the beach. Will definately stay again!

This place felt like home. The design and amenities this location has is perfect. Everyone onsite goes out of their way to assist you especially Matthew Stout. He was the best and made the place even more enjoyable to stay there. There were 2 other individuals' that also helped us but I'm sorry, I don't recall their names.

Our stay at Mainsail Inn AMI was just short of magical. The property was lovely with large, spacious rooms and everything we needed. The location was amazing - steps from the beach and water and views. The beds were comfortable, unit was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and amenities were great. Restaurants and shops were only a few minutes away, there were beach and pool toys available at the property in addition to chairs and umbrellas. I would absolutely stay here again.

We are repeat visitors to the Mainsail Inn and have stayed in this unit before. The location and views are what bring us back! The layout of the unit is wonderful, but the unit itself could use a little spruce-up. The management staff is friendly and helpful. We love staying at the Mainsail when we visit AMI!
Perfect

We spent the holidays last year, this year and plan on doing the same next.
Unit is clean, (VERY CLEAN!!!) large and well appointed. The view is the best feature and can not be beat. Location is on the quieter part of island. Staff, (Matthew and Rhoda) are amazing!!! So helpful and nice. Very welcoming. I highly recommend. Special thanks, Matthew, Rhoda and also Judy and Jackie in reservations.

We stayed on the 3rd floor in unit 7. The condo was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The ocean view was the highlight of this condo. Matthew was amazing and so helpful. The location was easy to get to anywhere on the island. The beach and sand are right out your backyard which made it so easy to get on the beach. Highly recommend this place!

Our family of 7 really enjoyed staying here! Beautiful views from the balcony. The only thing I wish was better is the parking. You do get a reserved spot, but the parking lot is ALWAYS crowded and sometimes it’s hard to maneuver in and out. Everyone was very friendly!
Great location...needs updating

We’ve been staying at the Mainsail for 14 years. The location is great. However, the condos are getting tired. Updates are needed in bathrooms and kitchen areas. The pool maintenance was not kept up. The outside deck was buckled and slanted and felt unsafe.

Lovely vacation property in Anna Maria Island. Beautiful views, helpful staff and updated condo. Very clean and comfortable. The only drawback is that some of the furniture is due to be cleaned/replaced in the main living/dining area. Other than that, the unit was perfect for our girl’s weekend getaway.
Beautiful, convenient property

We stayed in unit 7, & absolutely loved this property. It was spacious for our family of 4, my parents & our niece. The unit had everything we could possibly need. It was well decorated. I understand the comments related to wear & tear on the unit, but it’s primarily the living & dining room furniture - it wouldn’t prevent me from renting this unit again. We had a parking spot for the rental car.
The pool is small, but it was rarely occupied, so often we had it to ourselves plus it had some shade.
The employees were so kind and very accommodating on the rare occurrence that we needed anything.
Mainsail is conveniently located in AMI. The beach is steps away, we loved the view from our deck/room, beautiful sunsets!
Perfect place, wrong unit

The area is amazing and the Inn is very nice too. The unit 7 we stayed in needs some work though. The dining seating is worn and torn and needs repair. The couch and chairs need cleaning. The sliding glass doors are difficult to open and close and some don't even lock. The dishwasher gasket wasn't completely attached so it made it difficult to run. The unit desperately needs TLC. The staff was great though and very accommodating. I would recommend staying in another unit, I saw a couple others and they looked great.

We did family Christmas at Mainsail. Had 3 condos rented for 14 of us. Had a great time in the condos and the location of Mainsail is second to none. Condos were clean and had dishes for cooking and baking. Would highly recommend.

I have visited Anna Maria Island several times but never stayed in Holmes Beach, always in Bradenton Beach. In fact Mainsail was not my first choice but I was absolutely delighted when getting there that although my vacation in October 2022 was booked in November 2021 my original choice was already booked. (As I live in the UK I have not been able to visit for quite a while and had to cancel a reservation for a resort nearby because of covid). We fell in love with Mainsail immediately.

Mainsail is beautiful, the apartment is gorgeous and there is absolutely every amenity that you could possibly want. I have been to many places in the U.S staying in top rated hotels and nothing could beat what was ready and waiting at Mainsail. We arrived late in the evening and so in the morning when we opened the curtains the view just took our breath away. We never got over simply looking out to sea and as we live very close to the coast that says something for our third floor apartment in Holmes Beach. The staff there could not do enough to help in any way possible but are also lovely and friendly as opposed to treating it as 'just a job'. We love the whole area and always visit Longboat Key, St Armands Circle and have, even in the past, Casey Key but Mainsail is a wonderful place to base all our future trips - so peaceful.

Finally - we will definitely stay again, hopefully in exactly the same apartment.

Mainsail Beach Inn is a beautiful place, clean, spacious and directly on the beach. The staff is very accommodating. We just returned from our 5 th time there, and are making plans for next year. Highly recommend!
Paradise Found

Wife and I live about 2 hours away and were looking for a weekend getaway. We love this beach and this rental was the cleanest we have been in. The staff was wonderful as well! John is the best and will do anything to ensure your comfort. Will definately be returning!

My family rented two three bedroom/three bath ocean front units to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The units were spacious, and well-appointed. Parking was the only major concern we had since only one space was allowed per unit.
Just Fabulous

Just returned from our second trip to Mainsail. It really is a special place. We stayed in Unit 7 this time having stayed in Unit 8 last time. Both are top floor beach front with beautiful views. Accommodations are extremely clean and equipped with everything you could need. The setting right on the beach is just wonderful and the sunsets are incredible. Staff very friendly. Great easy check in / out system,loved the digital code instead of a key. Lots of great places to eat near by, Slims Place & Pizza Social we’re favs. This place has it all. Anna Maria Island is a very beautiful quiet place we would highly recommend. Will definitely be back.
Great Condo in a Fabulous Location

Great views, great weather, friendly staff, and a very nicely appointed unit all contributed to a memorable vacay. Just as some of the previous occupants had written, the furniture was a bit, shall we say, lacking with respect to cleanliness and the dining room table and chairs were just a mess. The unit itself is modern and well appointed - I judge by the condition of the pots and the frying pan(s) and the master suite is the best I've stayed in from VRBO. Great shower in there, folks! I have to mention the staff who were all very friendly, helpful and accomodating of all our requests. Thanks John, Manny, and Cole! You guys are great!
Seaside Getaway

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Mainsail. The first week we had a daughter, son in law and 2 grandkids to share with us, the second week we were alone. The condo and view were absolutely breathtaking! You can’t beat the location for a gorgeous view of the Gulf. The temperatures were perfect while we were there, and the gulf waters were warm too. The staff were very attentive and professional, the building and surrounding areas were clean. We would definitely recommend and come back again. And, it’s right beside our favorite restaurant, the Beach Bistro!

This is our fourth visit to Mainsail and yet again we were blown away by the perfect situation next to the beach. Fantastic friendly greetings from Bev who made us feel at home . The only tiny criticism or suggestion is that perhaps it is time for a little reinvestment in the furnishings and repainting bathroom cabinets.
Christmas with a View!

We had the joy of spending the week of Christmas in the amazing unit. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by beautiful, unobstructed views of the beach. This unit was the perfect size to accommodate our family of six. Waking up to views of the water from the king suite took away our winter blues. The kids slept comfortably in the twin suite, while the queen suite was just right for two. We appreciated having soaps, coffee, and beach towels provided. We were so happy to have a full-sized washer and dryer in the unit too. Our absolute favorite thing was having coffee and cocktails on the balcony. We look forward to staying here again!

Everything was as described online, loved being right on the beach, Bev was great and accommodating, kids loved the shaded pool, and beds were very comfortable, kitchen stocked. Just great. Also very clean.

We stayed here for a week. The place was very clean, modern and functional. Tremendous view of the Gulf and sunsets. Great restaurant right across the way, as well as others nearby. Very nice relatively quiet neighborhood and area. We will come again.

We always love our visits to this wonderful property. Staff is always as friendly and helpful as ever. Our one beef: someone must have taken off with some wine glasses from the cupboard....there were only a couple!! Stock the kitchen more carefully please....

Great location right on the beach. The advertised chair service was misleading - they unlock the chairs and you have to then drag to/from their spot in the beach. That was not how I had interpreted from the website. Good size pool (and clean) when you want a break from the beach. Our unit was well worn more than the pictures showed online but everything worked fine. The sunset views right from our balcony more than made up for it! Management did super job cleaning the common areas to remove sand. Added plus having free access to paddleboards and kayaks. Overall, a solid good stay.
5 very disappointed vacationers

This was our 4th stay at Mainsail, Anna Marie Island. Our first 3 stays were fantastic and very clean unit #3 and outside hallway, elevator, steps, floors. This time we were very surprised at the condition of our unit and outside hallway, floors, front door, elevator. I have pictures if you would like to see them. I E mailed and spoke to Mary Norman and was told "we are very booked" all concerns were dismissed. She did send someone to un-clog the bathroom shower drain. We paid 5,000 for what we thought was a very well maintained facility but found out otherwise. We were also very surprised at Ms. Normans response when I told her about our concerns. We will not be staying here again.
Great Family Spot!

Everything was wonderful on our stay to AMI at Mainsail Beach Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and had GORGEOUS views! The only thing I would recommend is if you tend to get chilly, you may want to bring blankets. The bedding was thin and there weren't any extra blankets. Otherwise no complaints! Thanks for a great week!!

Beautiful view in a great location, nice friendly staff. Some of the living room furniture could have used a cleaning or updating. Pool area could have been landscaped better, we really didn't use it much anyways though this trip.

We rented a beachfront unit for the 3rd year in a row and absolutely loved it as always. Spacious 3 bedroom that has wonderful views of the ocean. Weather was not as great this year, very windy compared to the previous two years but certainly out of Mainsails control. Pool and beach access so close are wonderful and it always has a quiet feel to it. Beach chair service was new this year and it was great...having someone put in umbrellas was great. Can't recommend this place enough for a family looking for a quiet relaxing vacation. We will be back next year.

Overall an enjoyable stay, several things need improving. The supplied beach towels were in need of replacing they are no better than a rag. The runners for the outside patio doors have never been cleaned since the day they were installed, full of dead flies etc etc. i know this is a holiday rental i do think the furniture could be kept a lot cleaner than it was, may fit loose covers to seating, so that they could be taken off and dry cleaned. details like this would earn a five star. Pool area was never swept for the time we stayed there. Coconuts on the trees should have been taken down could cause danger to people underneath. Guest from your other property where using the pool which made it very crowded and unpleasant for MainSail guests. These are things that should be improved in order to justify the cost of staying here. Once more we did enjoy our stay.
