The stunning interiors in your private Holmes Beach vacation rental are elegant, fresh and bright. The two bedroom, 2.5 bathroom residences are attractively decorated, with white walls, cool pastels, local artwork, polished pine floors and comfortable furniture. All suites have an expansive deck and are just steps away from the sand. Although our property is right on the beach, this unit faces the island, but again, you're just steps away from the sand.

A fully equipped gourmet kitchen with marble counter tops, custom wood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances will channel your inner chef.

This two bedroom residence can accommodate 4 guests comfortably with a maximum total of 6 guests. There is a king bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom.

Featuring historically inspired architecture and craftsmanship, professionally designed interiors, authentic pine flooring, designer fabrics and comfortable furniture. Mainsail Beach Inn units offer direct beach access, heated resort-style swimming pool, hot tub, poolside grill, private beach lounge chairs & umbrellas and bicycle rentals.

Excellent Getaway

This condo was everything we needed for our family of four seeking to escape for our annual trip to AMI. The beach is at your doorstep. Paddle boards for rent, complementary chairs and towels. One of the smoothest and enjoyable beach trips we have had to the island in years.

First time at this rental. We were blown away by the attention to detail in the unit and at the entire property. Extremely clean, all you would ever need or want. The location is in on a quiet street. Literally steps to the beach from your door. Umbrellas and ample lounge chairs provided for the beach. Free for use are several kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Bikes on property available. Pool was lovely, very clean with cozy lounge chairs. Staff of Rhoda and Matt were both pleasant, helpful, hard working and made us feel well taken care of and safe. Our room was beautifully furnished, well laid out, quiet, had any thing we needed. 10 out of 10! Can not wait to return to this gem!

We had a great experience- the unit we rented was clean and spacious, couldnt beat the location! We were traveling with two little boys (4 and 2), so pool and proximity to beach and restaurants was perfection for us! Can't wait to come back

We had an amazing time. This rental is steps away from the beautiful beach. The place was clean and ready to use when we arrived. I can't say enough about the staff. Matthew and Rhonda were both amazing and they made our stay even more wonderful. I stay here again and I would highly recommend this place.
Not a pleasant experience....

Although the unit was clean and comfortable, the family staying in the unit above us sounded like they were playing soccer day and night. We had to leave a day early. We would like an one day refund for our trouble.

Wonderful Vacation

Beautiful and clean, our room was wonderful. The staff (Matthew, John and Rhonda) were so nice, friendly and helpful, Mainsail should be very happy to have them helping guests. Literally on the beach with loungers, kayaks and paddleboards available to use with no additional fees. We hope to be able to stay there again, have been coming to AMI for many years and this location is really perfect for couples or families, highly recommended!

Crowning final days of a tour through Florida

At the end of our 2 week trip around Florida we (a family of 4) were lucky enough to have found the Mainsail Inn. Located in one of the best spots on Anna Maria Island we were able to spend 3 wonderful days here. In our apartment #6 nothing was missing, it was spotless clean and it had an excellently equipped kitchen. Should we ever return to AMI we will certainly check availabililty at the Mainsail Inn.

50th Birthday Getaway

We booked two suites at Mainsail and invited 6 friends to join us for a 50th Birthday Celebration in early February. We loved Mainsail, the beach, Anna Maria Island and the time together. Mainsail is a very high quality facility with an incredibly accessible beach just out of its front doors. We like staying in good places and we would stay here again if we return to Anna Maria Island.
Nice location

The location could not be beat, directly on the beach. The unit was clean, very nice kitchen and two nice balconies. The toilet in the second bedroom ran all night. The linens on the beds were rough and the pillows were awful. The furniture in the living room was so uncomfortable you could not even sit on it. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Around midnight our second night there, whoever was above us began moving furniture and it lasted all night. For over 700$ a night I expect more.
Beautiful condo steps from the beach

We had a wonderful time staying at the inn. Condo was fully stocked with everything you need, the coffee basket was an added bonus. The staff was always available for any questions or recommendations. We will definitely stay there on our next visit to Florida.

We had a wonderful time at AMI staying with Mainsail. Mary and rest of the staff was very helpful and the entire process of checking-in and checking-out was very smooth. We will definitely go back again. My only advice is to maybe upgrade the bikes but it is just a suggestion. Overall amenities were very good.

A great week of relaxation, daily walks on a nice sandy beach, eating and drinking in local establishments. The Mainsail location right on the beach and in a nice area was perfect! We’ll be back!
Very Noisy Unit with a Horrible View

The view from the room balconies was terrible...overlooks a motel roof with 4 air conditioning units on top of it. The noise was so bad from the 4 A/C units that we could not enjoy a conversation with our morning coffee and evening wine. Would not recommend this unit or any on the south side for these reasons. Management only told us when we called to inquire that the room had a great view of the mention of the roof view or the noise. They would not provide any compensation.

2020 Vacation ruined

Terrible. Staff let us know 3 days before arrival that the beach would be closed. They said it would be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Infact it was closed Wed-Saturday and the beach was not nice on TUesday due to reconditioning the beach. THey said they had just been notified which is a complete lie as they had been working out front for weeks. You save up for a family vacation and you expect honesty. THey new WELL in advance the beach would be closed. On top of that they claim you can use Kayaks which were not allowed once on the beach. They encouraged the use of the pool, which was very small. Honesty goes along way, and they were not at all.

July 4th stay

We have stayed at the Mainsail Inn many times, and we are always comfortable and impressed with our unit and with the front desk and beach staff. The unit is always clean and well tended. The beds are so comfortable and the sheets are comfy also. The only issue was with parking. Most units are allotted two spaces; we didn’t know until we arrived that there was only one space. We had to pay $25 extra per night for our extra car for a total of $225! That seemed excessive, since there was a extra dirt parking lot that wasn’t full that is used by the hotel.

We have enjoyed 3 annual stays at Mainsail and appreciate the quiet, peaceful, relaxing haven it is. Gorgeous beach. Kind, compassionate, competent and attentive staff - Lindsay, Mary and Greg are always available. Thankful for accessible building and parking for my son. We will be back each year!

this Is a lovely Inn right on the beach. The suite we stayed in was much larger than expected, clean and well maintained. Staff were extremely helpful.
Family reunion

This was a family reunion, we came from different states and this was the first time coming to AMI. Mainsail made our trip absolutely perfect. They were attentive, accommodating and always there to offer any assistance that we needed. The beach crew was 100% as well as Dana at the front desk. We will definitely be coming back!

Our stay at Mainsail was excellent. The rooms were beautiful, and the amenities and services provided by the Mainsail staff was great. One very minor suggestion: the beds (twin beds) were too high off the ground to accommodate people with disabilities or senior citizens; our elderly mother had difficulty to get into bed, and it created a safety concern.

What you need to do

Just make very sure that all of the beach "territory" is available for all Mainsail guests.l There is a condition...."being squeezed out" by the overwhelming number of Marina guests. Also, do not give them take away food.....The birds come swooping in and attack anyone in the area trying to get to the food provided.

If you do not offer the same beach "amenities" as the marina guests you will have a war on your hands.

We created and owned a resort on the island of Anguilla, where presidents stayed, and the one thing I know is that, celebrity of not, treat everyone within earshot of each other the same.

Great location. We stayed in the 3 brdrm unit and it was well equipped and professionally managed. VERY NICE PROPERTY. Had the red tide not been on the beach it would have been absolutely perfect.
