Welcome to the spacious Unit 12, a four-bedroom, three-bathroom townhouse attractively adorned with white walls, cool pastels, local artwork and polished pine floors with comfortable furniture. The interior decor in your private Holmes Beach vacation rental is elegant, fresh and bright. Escape to your sprawling private deck with views of the Gulf and the stunning Anna Maria Island sunsets, as well as the sparkling pool. The additional balcony/terrace leads the way to Holmes Beach, just steps away from your door.

A fully equipped gourmet kitchen with marble counter tops, custom wood cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances will please chefs of all skill sets.

This three-bedroom suite can accommodate 6 guests comfortably with a maximum total of 10 guests. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom and a queen bed in the third bedroom. As a bonus, the fourth bedroom also features a day bed with trundle sleeping, making this Mainsail Beach Inn’s largest unit.

Each unit features historically inspired architecture and craftsmanship, professionally designed interiors, authentic pine flooring, designer fabrics and comfortable furniture. Mainsail Beach Inn offers direct beach access, heated resort-style swimming pool, hot tub, poolside grill, private beach lounge chairs & umbrellas and bicycle rentals.

July 2024 Getaway

We’ve stayed at Mainsail 5 times, and we always leave feeling so satisfied and fulfilled. Our favorite unit is unit 12, and we were thrilled to see that the tv room downstairs was finally turned into a bedroom with a daybed! Our kids were thrilled they finally didn’t have to share a bedroom! The unit was overall clean and comfortable. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time. We didn’t need any help from the staff, so we didn’t have any interactions with them. We never did get a text or email saying our unit was ready, and when we arrived a couple of hours early before checkin, we couldn’t find a staff member to talk to to see if we could enter our unit early. So, we tried our door code and got right in. We let ourselves in and found our checkin paperwork in the kitchen table, so I suppose our unit was actually ready. We were just never notified.

My only complaint is about other guests who wouldn’t clean up after themselves at the pool and left the pool filled with floats and pool toys. Would have been nice if they cleaned up after themselves so we could enjoy the pool without their floats all in the pool. Maybe a sign outside would help remind guests to put away floats when they leave the pool. Also late night guest bbqs/parties (11:00/11:30 pm) at the pool were not so fun to listen to when we wanted to sleep.

Quiet beach stay on Anna Maria Island

Beautiful view, nice staff. For large unit, there was not enough silverware or dishes. The rug at door was missing backing and part of backing was stuck to floor. Would be nice to have basket or something to put shoes in as so many owner's closets were locked. Towels were very stiff for bath towels. Cushions on deck were ripped in places. Could have used throw pillows or throw on couches. surprised at group parties at pool, wasn't expecting that.
Anna Maria Vacation

The property is in a great location and the staff was extremely helpful. The proximity to the beach was fantastic and I would stay here again. I was disappointed with the location/view from unit 12. Unit 12 is a very nice unit with lots of space but the ocean view is lacking and not what I wanted for the price that we paid.

Great stay at mainsail! Beach location is perfect and the in. Keeps many beach toys, floaties, and chairs to borrow and use. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Our unit (12) was beautiful and very clean. I’m sure we will be back!

This was the third year our two families have stayed here. The staff is always there to help, but rarely needed because Mainsail is an incredibly nice place.

Fantastic Holiday Rental

We stayed at unit 12 and loved it. It is a lovely space, with everything you need and just a really short walk (no more than 50m) to the beach. There is a lovely balcony with views of the sea. The staff were lovely and very helpful with lending us kayaks, boogie boards etc. We had a great stay!

Accommodations were spotless and spot on for our group. GREAT beach access and the staff was unbelievable (Rhoda and Matthew). They took care of everything we needed! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mainsail!!

our unit, #12 was a big unit and our party of 6 had plenty of space. the beach was very nice as well. the staff- Rhoda and Mark could not have been more friendly and accommodating. we had a very nice stay.

Another dreamy family vacation at Mainsail Beach Inn

This was our 2nd stay in unit 12 (3rd stay total at Mainsail Beach Inn), and this townhouse did not disappoint once again! My famiy of 4 traveled with my 2 senior citizen parents, and there was more than enough space for all 6 of us. You simply cannot beat the location of this townhouse - steps to the pool and beach! The townhouse is beautifully decorated, and the balcony is a relaxing place to relax after a beach day. We love staying at Mainsail and plan to come back again for our 4th visit!

*Suggestions for improvement:

*More extra sheets/blankets, pillows, beach towels - we only found 1 extra set of bedding, and with kids, extras of everything are always needed.

*The dryer did not dry laundry effectively each time. It took several cycles to dry loads of laundry. It may need to be serviced or replaced.

*The dishwasher detergent dispenser did not release the pods during cycles. We had to just throw the pods in the bottom of the dishwasher to get things washed effectively. The dishwasher may need to be serviced or replaced.

*Please make sure shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel bottles are full before guests arrive. Not all bottles were full, and we ran out before our week-long stay ended.

*The den room on the bottom level would be even better if there was a full/queen bed or even 2 twin beds. It seems like a waste of a room with just the chairs. It would be a SUPER kids' room to sleep in!

Place was fantastic. Unfortunately they are building an Apt beside which made some noise. Would suggest changing TV. They must be at least 15 years old.

Main Sail is a wonderful place to stay on Anna Maria Island. The condominiums are well apportioned and comfortable. The location is fantastic- with instant access to the beach and close to main shopping in Anna Maria and Holmes Beach.

Family Vacay

This was our first trip to AMI and Mainsail. What a pleasant surprise! We met up with family from Nashville and had the best time. Mainsail was perfect! Our main goal was to find a spot on the Gulf that was away from high rise condos, fast food, and other chain stores. AMI was wonderful and had EVERYTHING we needed. Access to chairs, kayaks, paddle boards, grill, and pool was so nice - and not having to get nickel and dimed for every amenity. Mary was a wonderful host and was so responsive to the couple request we had. Thank you for such a nice experience. Can’t wait to go back!

The unit was misleading in the description, I thought we had a view of the water but we didn’t. However we were very close to it. Otherwise everything was great. Reminded me of old destin before it became soo busy
Family Time

Great stay. Beautiful property, the location is perfect for families and kids. Well equipped with everything you need for a great beach vacation. Unit 12 was spotless, and Mary and Manny handled our every request. The only thing we might suggest is some reusable plastic cups/wine glasses for the patio and pool. We definitely will return if the opportunity presents itself.

Staying at Mainsail Beach Inn has always been a dream of mine. We were finally able to make this dream come true for our family's spring break this year. Our townhome (Unit 12) was absolutely beautiful, clean, and perfect for our family. We had plenty of space to spread out, but the inviting living room, kitchen, and balcony brought us back together after decompressing from busy beach and pool days. Our favorite spot in Unit 12 is the huge balcony that overlooks the pool. You can also see part of the gulf - not a huge part, but enough to see the sparkling water! What a great place for an evening coctail after putting the kids to bed! The property is very well-maintained, and you just can't beat the easy access to the beach. We used the beach chairs daily, and checking them out was fast and painless - you just visit the lobby and ask for as many as you need, and they immediately walk out to unlock them for you! No waiting at all! We didn't check out any of the paddle boats or kayaks, but we saw plenty of people who did, and it also seemed very easy and fun. Anytime we had any questions or needed something, they staff were so quick and responsive! GREAT customer service! We really loved unwinding at the pool and hottub after a long beach day. Nicely maintained, lots of places to sit, tables to picnic at, and lots of pool floats were provided! This was the best beach trip our family has ever been on, and we will defintely be back. Unit 12 is our new favorite beach home away from home!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had an amazing stay at Mainsail. We have stayed at a private home on AMI, but that stopped this year. We can't wait to come back to Mainsail for years to come. The unit was so spacious, clean, and relaxing. We had everything we needed. The pool kept my kids entertained and was right out our door. Never crowded. The location was amazing! A 30 second walk to the beautiful beach (no schlepping beach chairs!)-couldn't ask for more. We loved being off the main path, but a short walk or golf cart ride to restaurants, shops, etc. We've already recommended the property to friends and family. Already looking forward to our next stay!

The photos were very misleading regarding beachfront.
This house is behind the pool that is behind the beachfront property. So no sunsets on the beach balcony.

Mainsail was very nice and the staff is friendly. The location is steps from the beach but not close to anything else. A car or golf cart is necessary to navigate the island. Being willing to cook in your unit is the best way to get good food if staying here.

My husband and 2 other couples stayed for a quick 4 night get away in Jan. 2021. The rental was nice, clean, and a great location. I can't say enough good things about the staff at Mainsail! They were professional, courteous, and very helpful with anything wee needed. We would definitely visit again.

Family and friends joined us here in the three bedroom unit 12 for a Sandbar wedding that was picture perfect. unit 12 was also picture perfect. We each had our privacy and a bathroom that gave us each plenty of room to get ready for each event. The staff made us feel like we were the only guests and the accommodations served every purpose. We had a wonderful time at the Mainsail Beach Inn On Anna Maria Island. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location right on the beach was ideal and very quiet at night. The property has everything you need for your stay including beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and toys for the kids. We stayed in the townhouse which was so nice and tons of space; a full kitchen with everything you need. The perfect spot for a family (especially with younger kids) or a group traveling together. We had a wonderful time and wish we could’ve stayed longer - 2 nights just wasn’t enough. We will be back!

Pros: Very clean, accommodations were lovely, spacious.
Cons: no one available upon arrival, no key, no access when we arrived at 4pm. We had a horrible view off our balcony, blight on adjacent property directly next to our suite. Cleaning girl cane in unannounced, startlingly us, pots and pans were not conducive to cooking, hard to clean.

Excellent on all counts as has been the case over the years. However, we urge that grab bars be installed in all of the showers! We as older visitors, have some years ago added these to our own home, realizing that this probably is the one single most important safety element that can be provided for us. Cheap to buy and easy to install! And most welcome! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Mainsail. Located just steps from the beach was heaven! The 3 BR townhouse was extremely clean with the cutest decor. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay and the bathroom amenities were helpful too. I wish all rooms had queen or king beds (vs. a full in one) and wish the upstairs seating was a bit more comfortable. But this truly was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful and the location by the trolley stop made getting around without a car so easy. I would absolutely recommend Mainsail and hope to stay there again some day!
