What is a Craft Brewery?
Before we can talk about the best breweries in the area, we have to discuss what craft beer is in the first place! Craft beer, essentially, has to be crafted by a brewer that is independent and small. Craft beer is also held to exceptionally high standards, so you know you’re always getting a high-quality product.
Motorworks Brewing
Motorworks Brewing is an excellent place for an entire community. You will find a neighbor or a new friend, and if you live in the area, you will build life-long friendships here. This was the first craft brewery within Anna Maria Island, co-founded by Frank and Denise Tschida. This property had its heart right from the start. It was built in 1923 as an automobile dealership and was 27,000 square feet. It became a total production that became a brewery and taproom.
This outstanding brewery is located at 1014 9th Street West, Bradenton, Florida, 34205. Their hours are as follows:
- Monday through Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Thursday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Friday: 11 a.m. to 12 midnight
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 12 midnight
- Sunday: 10 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Good Liquid Brewery
Good Liquid Brewery is the perfect dog- and family-friendly spot. If you are unsure where you are allowed to bring your furry friends, this is a great solution! This is accessible from Orlando and Bradenton, so it is excellent for the Anna Maria Island area. The main gathering area is under large trees, so it has lots of shade, and it has some of the best beer in the area. The owner of this fantastic brewery is Mike Krail. He is also the master brewer and formerly served in the US Navy. He loves sours and barrel-aged beers, so you know you are bound to have a fantastic experience while at his bar!
The Good Liquid Brewing Co. is located at 4824 14th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34221. It is closed on Monday; however, it is open from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Friday through Saturday from 12 noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
Darwin Brewing Company
Darwin Brewing Company is dedicated to servicing and delivering only the highest quality of beer. That’s part of what makes it so good! Let’s face it: most people like beer, and when they are on vacation or looking for a nice place to drink it. Lucky for them, Darwin Brewing Company satisfies all of the above. This brewing company incorporates both Florida and America’s most creative brews. Their selections are found all year-round in all four seasons.
The Darwin Brewing Company also is located within the downtown Bradenton community. So, if you are staying in the Anna Maria Island area, this is an excellent option for you to visit. They indeed will provide an excellent product and fast service.
Although they are closed on Monday and Tuesday, they are open Wednesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 12 noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
3 Keys Brewing
3 Keys Brewing is a family place to enjoy a great beer as well as a great place to eat. This is a family-friendly brewery that has a full kitchen as well (not all do within the Anna Maria Island area). It has pub fare, so it is not too expensive. This is a great social atmosphere that has weekly entertainment, music, food, and drinks specials. You can enjoy a fantastic time with your friends and your family in a vast front yard patio, within the beer garden that also allows your pets to join, or within the dining room that will enable you a time to get out of the sun and enjoy yourself!
You can also come out to 3 Keys Brewing to enjoy live music every weekend, music trivia, poker throughout the week, and bar bingo. It’s no question why this establishment was voted the best brewery in the Tampa Bay area recently! It is open Monday through Thursday from 12 noon to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 12 noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m.
